The only contributions that will appear in the list are contributions with the same date as the date selected in the calendar. Therefore, if you change the date of the contribution entry, the entry will disappear since it is not the same date as the date above.
If you wish to see all contributions for the current calendar year, click the Show All 20## Dates box. See the illustration below.
