- Backup the data on the computer that currently has the records to be transferred. See the link below for Backup instructions.
- Restore the data to the second computer. NTS must first be installed on the second computer before the Restore can be completed. See the link below for Restore instructions.
If you are setting up a new computer and want to transfer NTS and all the records to the new
computer, you will choose the ALL DATA Backup option.

Instead of using an External Storage Device, Software Service Plan customers can also utilize the Cloud(online) Backup service. This service provides the option to make a backup to the Cloud which eliminates the need for a physical device. see links below.
IMPORTANT: Only one year of data is backed up/restored at a time when Backing up or Restoring the Checkbook or Contributions. If more than one year needs to be transferred, a Backup and Restore of each individual year is necessary. Optionally, the ALL DATA Backup can be used which will copy ALL years. See "How do I backup my data?" below for more information.
When Restoring data, the data currently on the computer is overwritten with the data from the Backup. See the "merge or replace" question below for more information.
