How often should I backup my data?


We recommend that you make a minimum of 2 separate Backups weekly:

  1. EXTERNAL STORAGE DEVICE: this could be a USB flash drive, an external Hard drive or similar. After making the Backup, store this device in a separate building if possible in order to prevent data loss in case of a catastrophic event.
  2. CLOUD: Making a Cloud Backup provides another layer of protection against data loss.

We also recommend Printing a Hard-Copy Backup of each month's data. Print each of the following Reports after the conclusion of each month and store them in a 3-ring binder or folder:

  1. Contributions: From the Contributions screen: click REPORTS and then click DETAIL Report. Set the DATE RANGE on the left side of the screen to the Start and End dates of the Month and then click PRINT.
  2. Checkbook: From the Checkbook screen: click on REPORTS and then click BANK TRANSACTIONS REPORT. Set the DATE RANGE on the left side of the screen, select ** SHOW ALL ** in the BANK ACCOUNTS filter box, and make sure that the Transaction Detail is showing at the lower area of the screen. Then click PRINT.
