4.52 Features and Changes
Tax Tables & Forms Updated - Federal, State and Local tax tables have all been updated for 2012. Tax forms, W-2, W-3, 944, 1099-MISC and 1096 have all been updated for the 2011 tax year.

Contribution Receipt Options - The new options are the ablility to exclude Non-Tax Deductible items from the receipt, the ability to exclude the receipt header allowing for printing on church letterhead, and for our churches in Canada, we have added a receipt format that conforms to the requirements of the Canada Revenue Agency. All of the print settings for the receipts are saved so that the settings you choose are automatically selected when you return to the screen.

Contributor Envelope Numbers - This allows you to view the contributor's envelope numbers in the list of contributors.

Checkbook Fiscal Year - The Fiscal Year start and end dates are now always visible on the Checkbook screen and you no longer have to go to a separate screen to change Fiscal Years or to change the start or end dates.

Deposit Slip Signatures Saved - The signatures on the Deposit Slip are now saved when you exit the report. The signatures are automatically recalled each time the report is opened.

Select Date on a Transaction Keyboard Shortcut - With the cursor in the check/transaction number box, you can use the Up or Down keys to change the date on the transaction. This can be useful when entering multiple transactions that are dated closely together.

Check Scheduler with Check Number - The Check Scheduler will now show the check number for each check to be generated. You can use the number shown or change the number to a number you would like to use.

Auto-Backup Customization - The auto-backup folder can now be set to the drive/folder of the users choice.

Loan Screen update - The loan screen has been updated with a fresh new look.
4.40 Features and Changes
Periodic Financial Report Budget Option - This option allows you to display the budget based on the whole year or display a Year-to-Date budget.

Allocation Report Adjustment - This report was updated to account for a rounding difference (one penny difference) between it and the Funding the Mission web site.
4.32 Features and Changes
History Log Search - The search feature allows you to search for transactions based on transaction number, date, type, amount and/or payee.

Allocation Report Upgrades - Totals were added to the end of the allocation report. A print feature for the report was added.

Contribution Deposit Slip Print Size - You can now change the size of the font on the Deposit slip. Select the desired size before clicking the print button.

Combine Contributors - An automated way to combine two contributors.

Faster Multiple Transaction entry- For users who like using the keyboard, there is a faster way to enter multiple transactions of the same type.

Payroll - Add Deduction/Benefit Change - Previously, when adding a deduction/benefit to a payroll check, NTS would use the default accounts if the deduction had not been setup. Now, NTS will search prior checks for the same benefit and use the expense/internal accounts from a prior check if the deduction is found on a prior check.

Remember Primary Contribution Fund - If the Primary Fund is changed and you leave the main Contribution screen, the primary fund selection will return to what was selected instead of returning to the default selection.

4.26 Features and Changes
Allocation Report - This new report will tell you how much you need to pay for your allocations. It will also track your current amount paid and let you know if you are ahead or behind on your payments. Your current information will also be included on your monthly financial report.

Annual Report Update - The General Church has changed the Annual Report for the 2009/2010 year. We have updated the Annual Report to comply with the new report.

941 Form - Form 941 revision 4-2010 is included.

4.14 Features and Changes
Pledge Sorting - The Pledge contributor list can now be sorted by Contributor Name, Amount Pledged, Amount Received or the Balance.

Save Pledge Filters - The Pledge Filters are now automatically saved when you leave the pledge screen. The filters you last applied will automatically be applied when you return to the Pledge Screen.

New Check Scheduler - The Check scheduler has been updated with new features. Users can add new checks directly to the check scheduler screen and update any currently scheduled check. You can change expense/internal accounts, edit any amount and change comments. You can print out the list of scheduled checks and filter the list to view only those checks that are currently scheduled to be paid.

History Log - This brand new tool will give you a history of all the changes you make in the checkbook. It will tell you when checks or deposits are added or when they are deleted or changed. It will also tell you exactly what has changed. This will include changes made to bank, internal and expense accounts as well.

Periodic Financial Report Saved Print Settings - You can now save your favorite print settings on the Periodic Financial Report and recall them at any time. Multiple settings can be saved and named by you.

New Contribution Giving Types - By request, we have added some additional giving types to Contributions. The new types are Credit Card, Debit Card, EFT, and Other.

Payroll Deductions/Benefits Update - This area of the Payroll screen has been modified in order to give the user more control. Also, any Deduction/Benefit that is selected in an Employee's setup, will now appear on the Payroll after generating, even if the amount is $0.00.

Pledge Name Update - When a new person is added to contributions, the new contributor is automatically added to the pledge screen as a new contributor. Previously, this did not happen automatically in all cases.

4.02 Features and Changes
Contribution Recall - This feature gives you the option to recall a prior contribution. By recalling an entry from a prior date, NTS will fill out the contribution entry for you.

Export Features - Added a feature to export the Names list in Contributions. Also added options to export reports as .csv or as .txt files.

Auto-Post Deposit Bank Account Selection - You can now link a contribution fund to a specific bank account. Example: You can link your Building Fund to your Building Fund Savings account.

Expanded Budget Planner Features - You can now save new budgets in the budget planner. After you have transitioned to the new fiscal year, you can also import the new budgets entered in the prior year.

Easy Switch for Checks & E-Checks - When posting a transaction, it is now easy to change the transaction from a check to an e-check or vice versa.

Payroll - Default # of hours - Before generating your paychecks, you can now specify the number of hours each employee worked. NTS will automatically enter the number of hours from the previous payroll check, eliminating the need to change the number of hours for employees who always work the same number of hours.

Payroll - Print Envelopes, Labels or an Employee Directory - From the Employee setup screen, you can now print Envelopes, Labels or an employee Directory.

Transaction Detail Report Totals - This report now has a totals feature. You can view totals for any data column listed on the report.

Transaction Detail Report New Filters - A new filter has been added for comments and the comment column can be hidden like the other columns. For the Type filter, a new selection has been added for Non-EC Income minus Transfers (Non-EC Income-Transfers). This corresponds to the Income column on the Periodic Financial Report.

3.93 Features and Changes
Payroll Form 1096: IRS Form 1096 has been added.

Periodic Financial Report - Transfer Column - New to the Internal Account transactions section of the report is a column specifically for transfers. Transfers previously were included in the income column, but are now separate.

Contributor Receipts - Check numbers will now be included in the detailed listing of contributions on end-of-year receipts.

Contribution Service Name and Fund Name expansion - Fund and Service name can now be up to 50 characters long. Previously limited to 20 characters.

Contributor Information - The contributor information has been expanded to include a second line for addresses and an email address for each contributor. The contributor name and address fields have been expanded to allow longer names and addresses.

Contribution Primary Fund & Type Selection - You can change the default fund and/or contribution type. By setting these options, these selections will automatically be set for you when a contribution entry is added.

Show Totals Box will stay on screen - If you have the Show Totals box open and click on a different contributor, the box will stay open instead of automatically closing as in prior versions

Counters Password Level Access Changed - Users who log in with the counters password now have the option of changing the date up to 6 days from the current date. This allows counters to log contributions not made on Sunday, such as a Saturday or Wednesday night service.

Search Comments - Along with the previous search options, you can now search the comments on all checkbook transactions.

Hide Inactive Employees - Inactive employees are automatically hidden on the Payroll Setup Screen.

Bank Account Selection Remembered - When you leave the checkbook screen to go to payroll, loans or some report, NTS will remember which bank account is currently selected and return to that account when you return to the checkbook screen.

3.81 Features and Changes
Web Backup - This feature allows you to backup and restore your data using the NTS internet web storage. The backups can then be accessed from any computer with an internet connection. This can be used as a way to transfer data from one computer to another.

New Payee Setup - We have updated the Payee Setup screen to make it easier to manage your payee information. Along with this, we have added a second line to the payee address.

Annual Report: This COMPLETELY redesigned report allows the user greater flexibility in creating Expense and Internal Categories and accounts. The prior restrictions of using only 4 Expense and Internal Categories no longer exits. Multiple customized reports can be created. Detailed information can also viewed for each line on the report including which accounts are linked and individual transactions for each account.

Periodic Financial Report Print Option - You now have the option to print accounts that are not in a group individually or simply as a total for all of the accounts that are not included in a group.

Budget Planning Report - This is a printable report that can be used to help when setting budgets for the next fiscal year. You can choose to print budgets and the amount spent during the year or you can simply have a list of your accounts with a blank budget column. You can also print out a simple list of your expense accounts.

Print Fund and Service Lists - You can now quickly print out a list of your funds or services

Contribution Automatic Type Selection - This feature changes the flow of entering contributions. Fewer keystrokes will be needed when entering contribution entries. This makes it quicker when you enter multiple contributions of the same type (ex. all checks).

3.75 Features and Changes

Payroll Add Deduction⁄Benefit feature: This feature allows you to add a deduction or benefit to a payroll check after the check has been generated. You don't have to go into the payroll setup any longer to add the deduction or benefit.

Checkbook Accounts: Bank, internal and expense accounts have all been expanded so that the account names can be up to 50 characters long.

Account Ordering: All accounts, categories, and groups (including expense groups) can now be ordered in any order you choose. Using a click and drag method, you can change the order of your accounts, categories, or groups.

Periodic Financial Report: This report has been given more print options. You can now hide columns such as Budget, Percentage Paid, or Balance in the expense section of the report. These settings are also saved so that you don't have to change the settings each time you go to the report.

Contribution Type - Goods: This new contribution type has been added to Check, Cash and Coin for times when contributors donate goods or items to the church.

Automatic Backup: The automatic backup feature creates a backup on your hard drive without any user intervention.

Mouse Wheel functionality: Throughout NTS, the mouse wheel has been fully activated. The mouse wheel can now be used to scroll though any lists or reports.

Payee/Contributor Quick Find: By typing in the first letter of a payee's or contributor's last name, you can quickly locate the name on the label/envelope, directory or receipts printing screens.

3.60 Features and Changes
Contribution Changes:
Add Funds and Services on the fly: You can add new funds or services while you are in the middle of posting contributions. There is no need to cancel the entry you started just to add a new fund or service.

Contribution Funds/Service List Order: The order of the funds and services can now be changed by simply moving a fund or service up or down in the fund setup. No more position number.

Deposit Slip Export: The deposit slip can now be exported to a .csv file to be read in other spreadsheet applications.

Checkbook Changes:
Account Balance Quick View and Alarm: This new feature allows the user to quickly see the balance in expense and internal accounts while posting checks or other transactions. The Alarm will alert a user when an expense account will go over budget or when an internal account will go into the red when posting a transaction.

Add Expense or Internal Accounts on the fly: New accounts, categories and groups can be added to your account list while posting a transaction. You don't have to cancel a transaction to add a new account.

Checkbook Register Font Size: The size of the font for the transaction register and the transaction detail can be adjusted to your preference.

Reports:
Export Periodic Financial Report: The Periodic Financial Report can be exported to a .csv file so that it can be opened in other spreadsheet applications.

Detail Transaction Report Payroll Filter: A new filter which will show only payroll checks has been added.

Payroll Changes:
E-Check Option: Paychecks can now be designated as EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) checks for users who have direct deposit for their employees payroll.

New Payroll Screen We have updated the payroll screen to provide more information and to make the screen less crowded.

3.52 Features and Changes
Backup: New option to select a specific folder to backup or restore data. You are no longer limited to just a drive.

Contribution Changes:
Contribution Entries: Contributions can now be designated as Check, Cash, or Coin and the check number can be recorded.

Contribution Reports: Multiple Selection of Funds, Names and Services now available on all reports with these options. A new Deposit Report has been added which shows totals for offerings by the type of offering; check, cash and coin.

Checkbook Changes:
Transaction Recall: When posting any transaction, you can quickly recall up to the last 10 transactions to quickly post checks, deposits, or other transactions that you post on a regular basis.

Date and Currency Formats: New options have been added to allow greater flexibility when printing checks. There are now more date and currency formats available.

3.30 Features and Changes
On-Screen Help: Help is now available on-screen with the press of a single key.

Checkbook Changes:
Sorting Filters:  The Check Transaction Register can be sorted in any order. This is especially useful when reconciling or searching for specific information.

Printing Features:  In addition to printing checks, you can print Envelopes and Labels for Check and E-Check Payees directly from the Checkbook screen.

View/Edit Payee Information:  This feature allows you to view and edit Payee information directly from the checkbook register.

Contribution Changes:
Printing Features:  Contribution Receipts, Envelopes and Labels can be printed directly from the Contribution screen.

Add Contributor Shortcut:  This feature allows the user to add a new Contributor without having to leave the main Contribution screen where contributions are entered.

View/Edit Contributor Information:  The user can view or edit a Contributors Information, such as address and phone number, directly on the main contribution screen.

3.16 Features and Changes
Checkbook Changes:
Monthly (Periodic Financial) Report: Detail boxes
This new feature will allow you to see the transactions that were used in calculating a specific box (or cell) on the Monthly Report. You no longer have to go back to the Transaction Detail Report to find this information.

New Transaction Type Filter:  A "Checks + E-Checks" filter is available on the Bank Transaction Report and the Detail Transaction Reports. This will allow the user to see both checks and E-checks on the same report.

New Report Sorting Option:  By double clicking on the column title button, the following reports will sort by the column you choose.
Bank Transaction Report, Transaction Detail Report, Contributor Report, Contribution Totals Report, Contribution Receipts, and Contribution Detail Report.
